Our Hundertwasser Art

We have been studying the work of the Austrian artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser.  He produced many different works of art including paintings, postage stamps, clothes and flags. His work often included bright colours and nature. Hundertwasser seldom used straight lines and his paintings have lots of spirals.  He also designed many amazing buildings using irregular forms and lots of colour.  Hundertwasser believed painting was ‘like a dream and painters take us into their own world’.  He thought a happy place should ‘glow with bright colours’.  We have created our own art works in a ‘Hundertwasser’ style.

    Doing the Hundertwasser Art was one of the best art things we've done so this year! It was so fun, the work was worth it!

    I wish Hunderwasser came into our class to see them, I bet he would be amazed.
    Mine would not come out in the finals if it was a test or something!
